When creation seems gone...

The past three days, I haven't given it my all. I've been trying to run a long marathon, slow and steady, never exerting too much energy on any one thing. I've been running right behind others, not letting the wind and elements hit me or harm me. I've been trying to run this race alone with no one to create a pace for me. I've been doing it on my own.

The past three days have been hard. No to mention the classes, I've been in two "creative idea" meetings, lasting over 3 hours each, a village and it's 4:30AM and I'm working on architecture. I have nothing left in me. I probably have 4 hours left to finish my architecture assignment and I have no motivation or energy to push me forward.

"Come all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

I've realized I haven't come to God for help, for rest. He will give me shelter, He will give me rest. Through rest in Him, I hope to finish my project, I hope to be creative to help bring Youth into church and to help the Creative Arts teams. I hope to always find my rest in Him.

Off topic a little (though it has to do with creativity). This quote is been stuck in my head for a while now, it's by KaraLynn and my favorite author Randy Alcorn!!!!

"God is a maker. He'll never cease being a maker. God made us, his image-bearers, to be makers. We'll never cease to be makers. When we die, we won't leave behind our creativity, but only what hinders our ability to honor God through what we create."

I hope you're getting more sleep now. It's so hard to turn everything over to God...I struggle with it so much, but you have to remember that it's his joy to help us and that he's way better at life than we are. Hope your life gets less stressful soon!

Kylan! I was just thinking about that book today. I had the urge to finish reading it (haven't gotten around to, but the thought crossed my mind, so there's a start).
Just remember to put your trust in God & Randy Alcorn. They will not fail you. Well, at least God won't. Serriously though, we should drive down to Oregon and see if we can stalk Randy. I think it'd be the best Mid-High adventure yet.
I will keep you in my prayers. Good luck!
